Job Description
We're looking for a creative and user-focused UI/UX Designer to join our design team. You'll create beautiful, intuitive interfaces for web and mobile applications that serve diverse users across Cameroon.
This role involves the complete design process from user research to final implementation, working closely with developers and product managers.
Responsibilities
- •Conduct user research and usability testing
- •Create user personas, journey maps, and wireframes
- •Design high-fidelity mockups and interactive prototypes
- •Develop and maintain design systems and component libraries
- •Collaborate with developers to ensure accurate implementation
- •Present design concepts to stakeholders and clients
- •Iterate on designs based on user feedback and data
- •Stay current with design trends and best practices
- •Ensure designs are accessible and inclusive
Requirements
- •3+ years of UI/UX design experience
- •Strong portfolio demonstrating web and mobile design work
- •Proficiency with design tools (Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch)
- •Understanding of user-centered design principles
- •Knowledge of responsive and mobile-first design
- •Experience with prototyping and interaction design
- •Basic understanding of HTML/CSS
- •Excellent visual design skills
- •Strong communication and presentation abilities
Preferred Qualifications
- •Experience designing for African markets
- •Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG)
- •Experience with design systems and component libraries
- •Basic front-end development skills (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
- •Experience with user research and testing methodologies
- •Understanding of fintech or e-commerce design
- •Motion design or animation skills
